As the gaming industry grows, players often find themselves anticipating longer waits for new titles or sequels from developers. Despite the recent release of Lords of the Fallen, the team at Hexworks is already actively working on the next installment, targeting a release in 2026, as confirmed by CI Games.
In a financial update, CI Games revealed that Lords of the Fallen 2 has moved into full production and provided teasers regarding several features that will be included. These features aim to enhance appeal and accessibility for both current fans and new players, present more optional game modes, offer a refreshed artistic style and narrative, and elevate production quality. Additionally, a complete cooperative experience tied to shared progression will be integrated alongside the main single-player campaign. The game is also set for a period of exclusivity on the Epic Games Store for PC users, with a comprehensive reveal scheduled for sometime in 2025.
Lords of the Fallen debuted in October 2023 and quickly achieved the milestone of one million copies sold within just weeks. CI Games undoubtedly hopes to replicate or even surpass that impressive success with the forthcoming sequel.
